I built theScienceBank’s first online ordering and fulfillment system. Prior to this website, orders were placed over the phone or through email only. I customized an OpenCart installation and connected a credit-card verification and processing system to make sure that borrowers would be held accountable for returning materials or charged to replace them. The site made the catalog sortable, filterable, and trackable; provided user accounts for repeat borrowers; a contemporary, secure website that projects trust and transparency; and a back end that can easily be managed by theScienceBank’s staff.
